Grade 5 titanium is what is referred to as an alpha-beta alloy, and is commercially referred to as Ti 6Al-4V. Since it is the workhorse amongst all the other titanium alloys, the Alloy Grade 5 Square Bar accounts for almost 50% of the total titanium used across the globe. Aside from the very obvious low density, the use of the Titanium Grade 5 Round Bar is known for its resistance to corrosion along with superior formability.

And because the metal is light in weight, on account of its low density, one of the most vital applications the DIN 3.7165 Flat Bar is used for is in the aerospace and medical industry.  Another peculiar characteristic of the alloy is that any component, including the ASTM B348 UNS R56400 Hex Bar, could be welded easily. In operations that require them to have a welded construction, it is possible to use the ASME SB 348 gr 5 Titanium Rod even at an elevated temperature range of up to 600° F.

This particular alloy has the inclusion of both aluminum and vanadium in its alloy. The use of these elements in the grade 5 titanium threaded rod is what also gives it great formability while keeping the weight of the alloy low. Generally, the addition of alloying elements in metal also leads to a change in its original density. Since these elements are also light in weight, their inclusion in grade 5 titanium filler rod does not increase their weight.

NIMONIC alloys are primarily composed of nickel and chromium. These alloys are known for their high-temperature low-creep and high performance. Additives like aluminium, carbon and titanium are infused into the alloy. The NIMONIC alloy was first developed in 1940 in England. NIMONIC alloys available commercially are NIMONIC 75, NIMONIC 80A, 81, 86, NIMONIC PE11 and 16.

NIMONIC alloy 80A is a wrought, age-hardened alloy that is strengthened by additives like titanium, aluminium and carbon. It is manufactured by high-frequency melting and casting in air. It is similar to NIMONIC alloy 75. It has good corrosion and oxidation resistance. The creep rupture and tensile properties are high at 815°C (1500°F).

The NIMONIC alloy 80A is used in the following applications:

Duplex 2205 Round Bar is a duplex stainless steel grade which has been enhanced by nitrogen. Alloy grade 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Round Bar was developed to combat common corrosion problems which were encountered by the austenitic grade 300 series stainless steels.In an annealed condition, the mixed micro structure of S32205 Duplex Polished Bar contains approximately 40 % - 50% ferrite. The Duplex Steel S32205 Forged Bar is often referred to as the work horse grade, because the alloy is the most widely used grade in the duplex category of stainless steels. The advantage of having a dual or duplex micro structure is that  the Duplex Steel Uns S31803 Hollow Bar has a set of combined, yet favourable qualities of a ferritic alloy, i.e. resistance to stress related corrosion cracking and high tensile strength with those of an austenitic class alloy  i.e. ease of fabrication and corrosion resistance properties.

Usage of this alloy grade has been discouraged by duplex 2205 round bar suppliers in Mumbai at temperatures above 600° F.  Extended use or exposure of the Astm A276 Type 2205 duplex stainless steel round bar at elevated temperatures above the range of 600° F can embrittle the 2205 stainless steel. Astm A276 2205 Hot Rolled Bar has been covered by specification standard ASTM A276. Under this specification the manufactured Astm A276 Duplex Steel S31803 Rod includes hot finished or cold finished bars except those bars meant for reforging. This specification takes into account various forms like the rounds, squares, and hexagons or Duplex Steel 2205 Hex Bar.
The 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Round Bar covered in the ASTM A276 specification can be furnished in several conditions where the S32205 Duplex Bright Bar could be annealed, strain hardened or hardened and tempered .
